KAWMET P7 (10.5 kW) CookTop PB ECO Freestanding Stove
KAWMET P7 (10.5 kW) CookTop PB ECO is a wood-burning freestanding stove from the Polish foundry KAWMET with a nominal output of 10.5 kW, sized for rooms of up to 105 m² (up to 263 m³). A panoramic pane gives a wide view of the firebed. Thermal efficiency is 73.5 %, energy class A.
The entire combustion chamber weighing 148 kg is an iron casting — with no welded sheet that would warp over time under repeated heating and cooling. Cast iron works like a storage battery: it absorbs heat while the fire burns and gives it back gradually once the flames have died down. A vermiculite baffle turns the flue gases back above the firebed, lengthening their path and raising the combustion temperature.

CookTop — the cooking plate
In the CookTop version the top plate of the stove is made for cooking. You can boil water or prepare a simple meal on it — a function of little importance day to day, but invaluable during a power cut. The rest of the design is unchanged from the standard version.
Additional pane on the right
The PB designation means additional glazing on the right-hand side of the body — the mirror image of the LB version. The choice depends on the layout of the room: which wall the stove will stand against and from which side it will be seen.

Is 10.5 kW enough to heat my house?
The model is rated for roughly 105 m² with standard insulation and a ceiling height of 2.5–2.7 m. In a poorly insulated building, one with large glazed areas or a higher ceiling, the real figure will be lower. Oversizing is harmful too, however: for most of the season the appliance then runs on a low flame, which soots up the glass and the flue faster.
Does it need an external air supply?
This model has no factory external air spigot — combustion air is taken from the room. In an airtight house with mechanical ventilation this means a separate air inlet to the room has to be provided; agree the solution with your installer before buying. If an external air supply is a requirement for you, choose a model that lists this function in its specifications.
What chimney and space does the stove require?
A flue of Ø150 mm, with the outlet at the top or rear. The stove measures 775 × 670 × 505 mm (W × H × D) and weighs 148 kg. Required clearances to walls and combustible materials are given in the manufacturer's manual, available in the documents section on this page.
What fuel should be used?
The fuel is seasoned hardwood with a moisture content of up to 20 %. The maximum log length is 600 mm. Wet wood gives noticeably less heat, smokes up the glass and speeds up soot deposits in the flue. Chipboard, painted or impregnated timber and waste must not be burnt — they shorten the life of the cast iron and void the warranty.
